Pick of the Plots: Tuesday August 29th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

It’s the day of Annie and Alex’s wedding but danger casts a shadow over their nuptials. Does wedded bliss await or will it be unhappily ever after for the new Mr and Mrs Murdoch?

The course of true love runs no smoother for Pete and Caitlin when he makes a confession that jeopardises their engagement. Scarlett tries to bring her family together for a day of bonding, much to Madonna’s disappointment.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.

Mick and Linda come to blows and Linda admits that she’s not sure they can move on from this. Later on, Mick tells Linda if she can’t move forward, it might be the end of their relationship.  

Lauren and a guilty Steven break the news about his tumour leaving Ian devastated. Meanwhile, Carmel invites Max to a council do on Friday; forcing him to cancel plans with an unimpressed Fi.  

Elsewhere, Ian and Jane talk to Bobby; Keanu offers to go to her parenting classes with Bernadette.

Rebecca tearfully confides in Robert her worries over her dad’s health and the state of the business. Robert feigns sympathy and tries to dissuade her from seeking medical help.

Aaron is furious with Robert for trying to pay Jason off. Later, after a pep talk from Zak and Adam, Aaron steps into the ring. How will it go?

Elsewhere, Emma fails to build bridges with Laurel; David apologises to Pollard for what he said about Faith.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Mandy needs urgent medical attention but is worried she’ll get arrested for kidnapping Ella. Dirk persuades Misbah to come and help Mandy while he looks for Ella.

Mandy is arrested for abduction when Milo finds Ella and takes her to the police station. Later, Milo is going through past news stories of The Cunningham’s, what is he up to?

Elsewhere, Neeta offers to move to Edinburgh with Hunter; Nancy is adamant her marriage is over; Myra can’t hide her disapproval of Cleo and Joel.
