Pick of the Plots: Monday October 23rd

Seb confides in Faye about his awful homelife; the pair are then shocked to find Seb’s mum unconscious. Abi’s rushed to hospital whilst social services arrive to take the twins into care. Seb’s devastated, accusing Anna of involving them.

Phelan comes face to face with an old adversary. Later, Phelan informs Andy of the substitute prisoner’s identity.

Elsewhere, Aidan suggests to Alya that they set up in business together.

A guilty Max struggles with his conscience but with Fi putting the pressure on, he manipulates Carmel into helping him get some insider information from the council. However, Max later has a change of heart and tells Carmel he doesn’t need her help.

The Carters are mortified to discover if they can’t pay the money Grafton Hill has demanded for repairs to The Vic they will be kicked out. With sly Fi proving unhelpful, the family mull over their options with Whitney suggesting they pay off the bill in increments.

Elsewhere, Shakil struggles to think of a birthday present for Bex.

Moira’s concerned when the baby won’t stop crying and calls for an emergency doctor appointment. Although the doctor diagnoses colic, she’s not convinced and desperate for help, rushes to the hospital with the baby. Overwhelmed by the situation, she leaves him there and returns to the farm.

Debbie’s looking forward to the move but is stressed about her finances. She goes to see Pete and Ross to give them her condolences but can’t fail to notice Ross’s cool demeanour. Later Debbie runs into Graham who invites her to meet Tom but Debbie has got mixed feelings.

Elsewhere, Tracy forms a plan to help Vanessa; Adam reveals to Victoria he wants them to consider adoption again.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Leela tries to kiss Zack when she thinks he wants to get back together. Courtney worries when Leela later leaves to go on a night out.

Courtney’s baby shower descends into chaos when Glenn is overheard telling Darcy that he won’t rest until she’s gone. Later, Lisa lets slip to Glenn and Grace that Darcy was on the boat with Tracey on the night she died.

Elsewhere, Cindy and Dirk decide to get married in two weeks; Diane tells Luke that Mandy kissed Tony.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

When Mrs Tembe cheerily suggests she treat herself to a new bag, Ruhma snaps at her about people who overspend on frivolous things. Ruhma apologises for her overreaction and confides in Mrs Tembe her conflict over purchasing new things. Mrs Tembe notes that although her financial resourcefulness is to be admired, spending money on oneself is not just all right but necessary.

Elsewhere, Emma helps a single father; Valerie decides to try internet dating.
