Pick of the Plots: Monday November 13th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

When Billy is suddenly arrested on suspicion of robbery, Todd and Summer are stunned. On Todd’s instructions, Adam calls at the police station. Taking Billy to one side, Adam instructs him to say nothing to the police. The police ask Billy how his fingerprints came to be on a burnt out car which was used in an armed robbery in 2001. Billy refuses to answer any questions but later makes a shock confession to Todd.

Beth finds out that Fiz and Tyrone kept quiet about the money they received through the crowd funding website and spent it on a van. She and the factory girls are livid, accusing Fiz of scamming them. Fiz is furious and a row escalates, leading to a catfight.

Elsewhere, Robert arrives home from prison and presents Michelle with the contract making her an equal partner in the Bistro.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Phil visits Kathy and drops the bombshell on her that Luke is Willmott-Brown’s son. Shocked, Kathy begs Phil not to tell Ben that James raped her. Phil tries to warn Luke off Ben but Luke uses this to his advantage, sharing the encounter with Ben. Furious, Ben confronts his father who maintains his silence on the reasons for his actions. However, Kathy steps in and tells Ben the truth – Luke’s dad raped her.

The Carters discuss the future of The Vic and Mick decides that they have no option but to make an announcement. Mick breaks the news to his regulars that they are on the cusp of handing over The Vic to the freeholders. His rabble-rousing does the trick as Walford residents vow to help raise the money required.

Elsewhere, Gethin calls Bex’s bluff and tells Sonia about their kiss; Stacey asks Linda to consider taking Whitney and Woody in at the pub.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Faith finishes with Rodney, then seeks out Pollard with whom she ends up having a heart-to-heart. As sparks fly, the couple kiss and things go further. Later, Faith is keen to make things public but Pollard’s struggling with his guilt over the golf course plans which Zak, now aware of the situation, is determined to fight.

Robert’s moved when Rebecca names their baby with his own father in mind. Lawrence offers Robert a share in Home Farm Estates, much to the dismay of Lachlan. Robert accepts the offer, darkening Lachlan’s mood further.

Elsewhere, Moira agrees for Cain to spend some time with Isaac; Paddy foregoes an afternoon of passion with Chas to help Rhona and Leo out.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Ryan meets Kyle in The Folly and makes it clear how he feels about him. Ryan later flirts with Tegan at his Aunty Doreen’s party (DS Thorpe’s wife) but Kyle turns up again, and they end up kissing. James witnesses their awkwardness and is suspicious. Meanwhile, Leela gets drunk and gets into a fight at the party. Later, fuelled by sexual frustration, Ryan picks up a male prostitute but it’s Harry who approaches his car! Ryan pretends that he’s undercover and Harry is under arrest…

Elsewhere, Grace is horrified when Tony reveals that Warren has left him his half of The Loft; Glenn is frustrated by how much Jesse is running after Courtney, even though they’re ‘just friends’. He pays Lisa to make a move on Jesse.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

It’s Monday morning – Jimmi visits Daniel in hospital before arriving at the Mill. The atmosphere is subdued. At the Police Station, Rob is doing paperwork when DI Tom Stanton offering him a more interesting job – persuade Zara to testify. Rob isn’t convinced but agrees to try.

Rob and a fellow officer who’s well up on security visit Zara at home. Zara is more casually dressed than usual, brittle, edgy – Joe is having nightmares. After they’ve gone, a nervous Zara quickly hustles Joe into the car to visit Daniel – we see the family united.

Elsewhere, Heston tells Ruhma the truth about what Shak did with his birthday money.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
