Pick of the Plots: Thursday November 16th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Kathy and Ben break the ice and arrange to have dinner together, meanwhile, Ben mulls over Luke’s invitation to meet his father, eventually deciding to go ahead with the meeting. Later, Ian realises Kathy is trying to leave Walford because of Ben. Ian drags Ben round to try and persuade her to stay.

Knowing something is troubling Bex, Louise demands to hear what is wrong and what happened with Gethin. Bex tells all and Louise is surprised to hear the extent of Bex’s feelings for him. Louise plays matchmaker when she realises Shakil still has feeling for Bex but things take an unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Martin is furious when he finds out about Gethin and Bex.

Elsewhere, the safari suppers take place tor aise money for the Vic; Donna’s meddling in Robbie’s online dating backfires.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

It’s the day of the christening and having had a sleepless night, Moira snaps at Isaac’s crying. As the service gets underway, it’s clear Moira’s struggling and she soon goes AWOL.

Moira turns up, distraught, in the middle of Adam and Victoria’s adoption meeting claiming they should be taking care of Isaac. Adam’s bewildered by his mum’s actions whilst Victoria worries it has ruined their chances to adopt. How will Cain react?

Elsewhere, Bernice, Nicola and Jimmy start to have second thoughts about Mrs Dumphrey’s money after learning of an heir; Rhona tries to talk to Paddy.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Jesse hears from Tegan that Courtney has feelings for him and wonders what to do. After speaking with Glenn, he decides to leave Courtney a voicemail saying he only sees her as a friend. Meanwhile, Granny Campbell is controlling Courtney’s every move and when Courtney asks her to leave, Granny takes her phone and wheelchair away.

James gives Harry an alibi for the night Amy died. Tony, on the other hand, still refuses to support his son and Harry continues to prostitute himself.

Elsewhere, Sienna finds out her cancer has progressed; Louis is struggling to manage both work and being a single dad.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Daniel and Zara have a difference of opinion over the best way for Joe to deal with bullies. Daniel is further annoyed when Zara returns from the school run admitting that she practically threatened the bully’s mother, but later we see that while Daniel is keen to move on, Zara is still feeling anxious about Joe.

Elsewhere, Jimmi meets a young Buddhist monk collecting money on the street and quickly realises that all is not what it seems; Sid psyches himself up for a live podcast discussion on diversity.
