Pick of the Plots: Friday November 17th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Rana calls at Kate’s flat and tells her that she only has to say the word and she’ll call off the wedding so they can be together. Kate orders Rana to leave, but soon leaves a drunken message on her phone, asking her not to go through with the wedding. As their families gather at the register office, Zeedan glances nervously at his watch, wondering where Rana has got to. Will she stand him up?

Phelan offers Seb his job back to spite Anna. After dropping the bombshell that Nicola is carrying Gary’s baby, Phelan offers Anna a deal.

Elsewhere, Colin confides in Moira that he reckons Norris might be his father.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

There’s no episode of EastEnders tonight but the show will be featuring as part of Children in Need night with what the beeb describe as a ‘show-stopping musical medley’.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Cain’s worried when Faith turns up at the garage saying something’s wrong with Moira. He gets in the car with her but quickly realises he’s been duped when she drives them back to his childhood home.

A flood of unhappy memories return giving Cain food for thought about Isaac. Will he also get a newfound respect for his mum or will past memories prove too much?

This episode contains flashbacks.

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Simone finds out that Lisa is babysitting Daniel. Louis begs Leela to start taking responsibility for their son, but she bites back after already getting an ear-full from Tegan. They’re horrified when they realise that Daniel has been snatched while they’ve been arguing.

Sienna sets a trap for Warren but Joel finds her frozen to the bone in The Folly. Back at home, Sienna is back to her usual self but it soon becomes clear that she has Daniel.

Elsewhere, Courtney is unhappy with Tegan and decides to stay with Granny Campbell; Mandy’s unaware that the guy she’s been chatting to on a dating app is Luke.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Outside the Social Services office, Karen has to coax a nervous Rob out of the car and when they finally go in they are thrown to meet a new social worker. Jane has moved on. The SW, Nathan, explains that the Chairperson has also just been replaced and this new bloke is a bit tricky.

Karen gives an impassioned speech about how Rob’s PTSD makes him better qualified to help troubled teens. However, when Heston arrives, he is forced to admit that there is no guarantee that Rob’s PTSD won’t impact on his fostering. Rob defends himself but the chairperson seems unconvinced.

Elsewhere, Zara heads to the police station on a mission.
