Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Valerie asks Sid if he is ready for his big interview in relation to Careers Without Limits. He isn’t. The interviewer is late, and Al worries Sid by telling him that they’ll write what they want to, whatever Sid says. The interview with Don starts well, as Sid talks about young immigrants and the problems they face. But Don soon turns the interview round to racism, and pushes Sid on what he has experienced as mixed-race Doctor.

During a break, Al tells Sid to feed him a fake story, a cliché, see how he reacts. Sid does so, and uses Ayesha’s backstory as his own. Don laps it up, until Sid tells him it’s all a lie. Don accuses him of wasting his time, but Sid hits back that Don has been wasting his.

Doctors, Tuesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
