Al is awoken by Eve brandishing tea. She tells him that she wants to go home today and arrange to see her own doctor; if she has dementia she needs to start treatment. Al is shocked at his mother naming the condition so readily, struggling to come to terms with it himself.

Reluctantly he drives her home and tells her how unfair it is that this is happening to her. He would prefer her to live closer to him but she won’t leave her home or friends. Eve has a nap and when she awakes finds Al has created various memory aides; labelled drawers, phone reminders, a contact list with photos. He also pledges to call her at eight every evening. Eve is touched.

Elsewhere, Sid looks for a new project.
