Pick of the Plots: Tuesday December 19th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Bob and Kim excitedly embrace their first Christmas together, blissfully unaware Simon is watching them. At Scarlett’s, Bob prepares the perfect Christmas dinner but when Kim feels a twinge, he sends her home for a rest. However, little does Bob realise, Simon is sitting in wait for Kim.

Simon takes Kim hostage – if he can’t have her, no one can. When Bob can’t get hold of Kim, he grows suspicious, enlisting the help of Angus to save the day little realising it’ll be an unforgettable and life-changing day for all.

Elsewhere, Lenny works hard to unite his family, while Maggie puts her all into giving her girls the kind of Christmas they never had as children.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.

Mick is frustrated when Linda’s vow renewal ceremony get in the way of an important meeting about the heist. After Mick apologises to Aidan and assures him he’s still committed to the job, he’s given a ‘Christmas present’. Later, Mick is alarmed to discover its contents.

Josh hears that he has been offered a job in Glasgow – meaning Lauren would need to relocate too if they’re to continue seeing each other. Lauren’s unsure at first but soon comes round to the idea. Lauren breaks the news to Abi who isn’t too bothered, but decides to hold off telling Ian. However, Ian soon cottons on to Lauren and Josh’s relationship and isn’t pleased.

Elsewhere, Donna does her best to support Robbie and suggests he throws a Christmas party for the stall holders; Riley and Chatham continue with their mission to sell Stacey’s phone.

Bernice realises it’s time to come clean to both Lydia and Dee Dee about the money. Dee Dee’s winded to hear the news, whilst Lydia’s disgusted that she, Nicola and Jimmy have been spending her money.

Elsewhere, a villager is kept in for questioning; and a family is thrown into turmoil when a secret is revealed.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Ryan collapses in front of Ste and Tegan.

Tegan wants to have some fun and find out more about Ryan, so uses a hospital heart monitor as a lie detector test, what will she discover?

Meanwhile, James lets Harry stay with him.
