Pick of the Plots: Friday February 2nd

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Carla is nervous knowing that Aidan and Kate are going for their initial tests to see if they can be a donor. Under Peter’s observation, she invites herself to Daniel’s flat after hearing that Sinead knocked him back. Inside, a smitten Daniel gets more than he bargained for. Later, Sinead is shocked to find out about Carla and Daniel while Peter seethes with envy.

Meanwhile, Robert visits Zeedan with an apology for not telling him about Rana’s affair. Robert tries to stop Zeedan from drinking but he continues to down whiskey as he stumbles out of the house. Zeedan accuses Rana of never loving him.

Elsewhere, Steve and Tracy find Amy snogging a lad at a house party; Tyrone, Shona, David, Maria, Gemma, Jude, Angie and Sophie meet Josh to find out who they will be fighting in the boxing match; and Sally confronts Gina about not taking her medication.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Phil is keen to get in touch with Ben and pushes Jay for answers. At the Arches, Jay finally crumbles and opens up about losing Abi. Fed up of protecting Ben, Jay hands over his phone to Phil to call Ben.

Meanwhile, Ciara chases Mel for the money forcing her to move quickly to find answers. After meeting up with Louise who is delighted to see her, Mel plays Louise into taking her back to the Mitchell house. Alone, Mel snoops but is stopped in her tracks when Sharon returns and questions what’s going on.

Elsewhere, Masood acquiesces to a dinner date to get back in his aunt’s good books; Patrick and Ted reconvene for their chess match; and Billy is worried about an impending visit from Les, who he has still not told about their tax evasion.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Jimmy and Nicola try to justify their actions.

Meanwhile, Lachlan and Belle meet a solicitor.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Farrah is panicked that Kim has gone missing, while Ryan has Kim locked in a storage room at the school. Ryan’s stress rises when he finds out that Tegan has woken up and leaves a note for Ste saying that he’s left.

Meanwhile, Sami protects his own secret and lies to Farrah that Kim was seeing someone else. Back at the school, workmen cordon off the area where Kim is and it looks like no one will ever find her.

Elsewhere, Myra is determined to prove that its men she’s interested in, not women; Peri lies to her mum that Tegan has woken up after she lied about Prince and Lily. Prince is elated when pregnancy faker Peri shows him an old ultrasound photo, just as Goldie returns.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
