EyeSpy: ITV celebrate 100 outings of Saturday Night Takeaway

The Happiest 90 Minutes of the Week are about to get even happier as Ant and Dec celebrate the 100th episode of Saturday Night Takeaway. – ITV

As the long-running entertainment show reaches its landmark outing Ant and Dec are on the case as super sleuths in the follow up to The Missing Crown Jewels, Saturday Knight Takeaway; as members of The Honoured, a secret service staffed by individuals with honours, they are tasked with solving a new mystery when members of the organisation start to go missing. The comedy sketches feature an all-star cast that includes Joanna Lumley, Michael Sheen, Emilia Fox and David Walliams, can Ant and Dec reveal the identity of the Big Baddie at the centre of the whodunit?

In tonight’s edition ITV note that it will be another jam-packed show as Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jnr tackles his latest role as this week’s Star Guest Announcer, and Michael Ball and Alfie Boe join Ant and Dec on stage to celebrate with a special End of the Show Show.

Stephen Mulhern returns with the pop up game show ‘In For a Penny’ and this week he’s on the streets of Warrington giving members of the public the chance to win a big cash prize! He’ll also be travelling back through the last 100 shows for Ant versus Dec. Plus, Scarlett Moffatt has a huge surprise in store for one unsuspecting family, and Singalong Live is back!

There’ll be the usual audience surprises, incredible stunts and another lucky player gets the chance to Win The Ads in the only show on TV that says “don’t just watch the adverts – win ’em!”

Saturday Night Takeaway launched on ITV in 2002 but took a break from the schedules between 2010-2012. The series – a mix of sketches games and prize giveaways – has proved popular with ITV audiences over the years.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – Episode 100 – airs tonight at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
