Pick of the Plots: Monday April 16th

We take a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Michelle invites Ali, Aidan, Carla, Roy, Jenny and Johnny to dinner. In the cafe, Carla asks Ali about steroid abuse and he realises she is talking about Robert and agrees to help. At Michelle’s Ali quizzes Robert about his gym routine however Michelle soon ushers everyone but Carla out. She’s realised what’s going on between her and Ali and wants answers.

Meanwhile, Alya is stunned to realise Rana is gay and that her parents already knew. Calling at the restaurant she is shocked to discuss that it’s not news to Zeedan either.

Elsewhere, Toyah visits Eva at the cottage and tells her that Simon knows about their secret; Liz is worried about Eileen who is still very depressed; and Daniel tells Sinead he has tracked Flora (Vinny’s mum) down.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

A cash-strapped Vincent meets with DI Franklin to pass on information about the heist; revealing Aidan’s role as the ringleader and Phil’s inovlvement. Despite Vincent having audio evidence, the detective reveals he needs more.

Meanwhile, Michelle starts her tutoring gig with Hunter but is mortified to find him and Louise half-dressed. Despite keeping their secret, Michelle gets more than she bargained for when a livid Mel later confronts her – revealing Hunter has said she tried to kiss him. Michelle is heartbroken when Sharon doubts her innocence.

After Masood finds his ice cream van vandalised, he has a business idea – bringing street food to the masses. Billy tries to assert authority at the E20 but Woody is having none of it.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

It’s judgment day for Liv and Gabby, and things get off to an anxious start for Liv when she’s assigned a new solicitor who won’t allow Lisa to speak on her behalf.

In the courtroom, Gabby’s defence gives a convincing speech as Liv’s solicitor sifts through his notes, clearly not up to speed. Liv’s left boiling when he gets her name wrong and mentions Gordon. Gabby gives a repentant apology, but an upset Liv can’t bring herself to speak up. Will both girls get the same justice?

Elsewhere, Rhona feels guilty about hiding Ross’s addiction; Jessie is on a wind-up; Chas is diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Luke tries to explain to Mandy about his kiss with Scarlett. Meanwhile, Scarlett tells Ollie she wants Luke back but he’s not enthused that this could rock the boat for him. However Scarlett works on him and later Ollie does something that could jeopardise his father’s marriage.

Meanwhile, Leela’s attempts to find Peri are proving fruitless and she’s irritated by Louis’s attempts to guilt-trip over not spending enough time with baby Daniel. On Simone’s advice, Louis books a weekend away to London but Leela takes it the wrong way. Later, Leela is approached by a young girl, Harley, who claims to be Peri’s friend.

Elsewhere, Damon is furious with Brody over his travel plans; Theo demands money from Milo.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

It’s the morning after the fire, and Mrs Tembe, Jimmi, Sid and Daniel survey the damage while police search for evidence. As Rob whittles the potential suspects down, suspicion is cast upon the new receptionist Charlie. However, Sid soon realises that there is more to it.

Meanwhile, Valerie has a raft of ideas to tackle her sleep problem.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
