Mums from across the country have been voting in their thousands this spring to reveal their kids TV presenter secret ‘crush’.

The light-hearted annual poll commissioned by leading online parenting resource Families Online has revealed the top five kids TV presenters for 2018 that are keeping smitten mums on ‘cloud nine’ again his year.

Dr Ranj Singh of CBeebies’ Get Well Soon fame has been crowned the winner for the second year in a row with over 40% of the vote. When asked why he was their top secret ‘crush’, 27% of besotted mums said Dr Ranj’s smile was his best feature and the clincher, this was closely followed by his gorgeous dark brown eyes.

Commenting on the results of this year’s voting, the 38-year-old, who is also known amongst grown-ups for doling out medical advice on ITV’s This Morning, told Families Online:

“Wowzers! I never really thought I could achieve such an accolade; it’s such an honour.  I now have the pressure of maintaining the title!”

In second place this year with 28% of the vote was Cornish actor Ben Faulks (39) who is best known for Mr Bloom the popular kids TV show. Mums also favoured Ben, who again made second place back in 2017, for his winning smile.

In third place this year, longest serving member of the continuation team at CBeebies, Andy Day, star of Andy’s Wild Adventures, secured 16% of the vote.  Both Andy’s smile and his fun personality were recognised by voting fans.

A new entrant to the league table this year is BAFTA-winning English naturalist writer and TV presenter, Steve Backshall (45) who is best known for Deadly 60. Steve has secured fourth place this year with 14% of the vote thanks to his amazing body/physique.
