Pick of the Plots: Friday June 29th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Tyler quizzes Simon about Flora and on finding out she has inherited £250k hatches a plan to break into the corner shop flat whilst everyone is at Flora’s 50s themed party at the Bistro. The robbery goes wrong leaving Simon with some difficult questions to answer. Later, Tyler swears revenge on Simon for talking to the police about him.

Meanwhile, Flora retrieves her jewellery box and handing her mother’s engagement ring urges Daniel to propose to Sinead. Tracy stews as Ken congratulates the happy couple and tells Steve she thinks he is only with her to please Amy. Steve finds himself inadvertently proposing, as an ecstatic Tracy accepts Steve can’t help wondering what he has done.

Elsewhere, Liz tells Johnny she loves him; Carla is out to get Alya and recruits Beth; Robert attends his first counselling session; Steve enjoys sacking Mike from Streetcars; and Faye hides her upset when Seb tells her he is going on a date with Emma.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Kat tells Mo that Ollie has been hitting Jean but she has invited him round on Saturday as she has a plan. They’re wrong-footed when Ollie turns up early unannounced but waste no time in confronting him about his treatment of Jean.

Meanwhile, Ian and Masood prepare for the soft launch of their new fusion restaurant. Kathy is unimpressed when she realises Ian has asked Hunter to help out purely to get Mel’s attention. The opening gets off to a lack-lustre start, but Ian perks up when Mel arrives. After a surprise heart to heart about Lucy with Mel, Jack arrives much to Ian’s annoyance.

Elsewhere, Bernadette admits to Tiff that she’s confused by her feelings for her, but when an understanding Tiff supports her the best friends are soon back on track.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm and 9pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Cain is busy working on a car when out of the blue, he’s hit to the floor.

A bloodied and bruised Simon stands over Cain, menacing as he raises a spanner to hit him once again…

Jai and Rishi have a war of words over Helen and soon the office is divided – by cardboard boxes.

Elsewhere, David enjoys spending time with Maya; and Rhona is contrite after Pete’s disastrous meeting with her friends.

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Misbah has a bad burn on her arm from the tea Imran threw at her but continues to frantically clean in preparation for the visit of her judgmental Aunty Kameela, who soon accuses Misbah of being too liberal with her children. Yazz tries to speak to Imran about his behaviour, but he gets angry and shoves her to the floor.

Meanwhile, Tegan is finally allowed to leave hospital, but she’s not happy about it. Ste and Leela bring Rose to visit her in the hope that she’ll come round.

Elsewhere, James accuses Ste of framing him, but Ste points out that he’s not the only one who has it in for James.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
