Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Rob turns up to the Carter’s to tell them that Tarks has been run over and that Heston’s car was found abandoned nearby. At the station, DI Addison questions Heston who denies any wrong doing – accounting for his walk to the takeaway, the time it took him and not noticing his missing car. Alia admits she has been taking driving lessons but insists she was in her room revising when the incident occurred.

Frustrated by his lack of progress, Addison heads to Rob for an update. Rob confirms they have CCTV footage from the road where Tarks was found. Tarks’ phone is still missing and he is in a critical condition. There are fingerprints all over the car. Next up, Addison talks to Shaks and Ruhma who also deny any wrongdoing. Ruhma admits that she visited Tarks’s mum about how he treated Alia but had no involvement in the hit and run.

After the interviews, the family have their fingerprints taken but Heston is starting to lose his patience. Suddenly, Alia turns to Addison and admits she lied earlier. She did go out and she did see Tarks – he was having a heated exchange with someone. She gives him a name.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
