BBC Studios launches apparel and jewellery collections with designers Fyodor Golan and Alex Monroe.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Fyodor Golan and Alex Monroe on this iconic British brand. They have each produced stunning collections, creating a new offering for audiences and consumers alike.” – Rikesh Desai, Licensing Director, BBC Studios

To celebrate the introduction of the Thirteenth Doctor and the all-new series, BBC Studios is launching two partnerships with influential British designers, Fyodor Golan and Alex Monroe.

A five-piece streetwear collection from Fyodor Golan, exclusive to Selfridges, London will launch on the 16th October, ranging from £110 – £195. The clothing collection is inspired by classic Doctor Who’s retro artwork, one piece even including a Dalek in a holographic, hand-laid vinyl.

“Fyodor and myself are big Doctor Who fans and were instantly drawn to the fantastical imagery and futuristic possibilities of the brand. We create genderless and borderless designs and love the direction of the new Doctor and the positive impact this will make.” – Golan Frydman, Co-Creative Director of Fyodor Golan.

Renowned jewellery designer Alex Monroe, on the other hand, helped to bring the new team’s vision of the Thirteenth Doctor’s style to life in the ear cuff the Doctor wears, the design of which has inspired a capsule collection. Via Monroe’s online site, the Galaxy Single Ear Cuff, a replica of the costume piece (£135), is now available alongside the Companion Single Stud Earring (£75) and the Galaxy In-Line Necklace (£150).

Jodie Whittaker made her TV debut as the timelord last weekend (Oct 7th) bringing pulling in 8.2 million viewers in the overnights making it the best rating series opener in the past twelve years. Sunday night’s episode The Woman Who Fell To Earth was also the highest BBC One drama debut this year beating the much hyped Bodyguard series by over two million viewers.

“I love Doctor Who and watched it religiously when I was a kid and now my kids absolutely love it. I have three girls, each one brought up with a different Doctor. To create a piece for the show and such a strong character is incredibly rewarding and exciting.” – Alex Monroe, Creative Director & Owner of Alex Monroe.

Doctor Who airs Sunday evenings on BBC One.
