Pick of the Plots: Monday December 3rd

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Evelyn isn’t happy when Tyrone and Hope return from a walk without Cerberus after Hope put him on a tram to Rochdale. Evelyn lashes out but is left speechless when Dev gives her some home truths in the Rovers. Later, Fiz and Tyrone mull over Hope’s recent behaviour and Tyrone reveals that he has found a suitable special school for her in Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Imran tears a strip off Leanne for jeopardising his case through her involvement with Nick. Toyah, playing the protective sister, comes in to the office to give Imran a piece of her mind however passion gets the better of them. Toyah is forced to hide when Nick arrives to see Imran. Later, Shona forces Leanne and Nick together to sort out their differences.

Elsewhere, Tracy is suspicious when Amy suggests cancelling a family night in, she looks at her phone and suspects that she is seeing Aadi; Robert and Kate consult Adam about their baby plan, but Imran isn’t happy when he finds out as Rana is in the dark; and Rita plucks the courage up to sack Cathy.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Kat is shocked to see Alfie who is sorry about everything and wants her back. Panicked he’ll see Hayley and the baby, Jean tries to send him away to no effect and her erratic behaviour leaves everyone confused. After a heart-to-heart with Alfie, Kat is reunited with her boys. Later, despite Jean’s efforts to keep them apart, an oblivious Alfie ends up cradling Hayley’s baby. As Jean looks on horrified, Hayley appears and reveals she’s the mother leaving Alfie stunned.

Over at Walford East, Mel gets increasingly annoyed as she waits for Ray who’s late for their date and when Masood notices, he calls Ian over. With Louise’s help, Ian persuades Keegan to babysit Alfie’s kids so he can try to impress Mel but his efforts fall flat when Ray arrives. Realising his plan is failing, Ian tries to get his own back on Ray.

Meanwhile, Keegan and Louise arrive at Ian’s to find that Alfie has taken the children. They take advantage of the empty house but are interrupted by Ian. Back at the Slaters, Tiffany gets a shock when Evie arrives at Hayley’s party.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Liv is mortified when David quizzes her about her and Jacob being together and insists they are just friends. Aaron and Liv confront Jacob who admits that he lied about the relationship before storming off. Catching up with Jacob, Maya wonders whether he lied to make her jealous, and Jacob admits the truth to her. Flattered, Maya kisses Jacob but then pulls away.

Meanwhile, Brenda swerves a date with Doug to help Bob look after Cathy who’s poorly. Doug is disappointed.

Elsewhere Cain debates telling Debbie about Joe, but a worried Moira does her best to discourage him.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Mandy pockets £200 on a scratch card while Darren decides to represent himself at the custody hearing. However, Kyle sees Darren with Sami and assumes he has enlisted his representation, passing this information on to Nancy. Later, desperate Darren takes the winning scratch card and goes to the casino night at The Loft, where Kyle takes a picture of him gambling.

Laurie has another meeting with Sally but rushes off when he receives a text from Georgia who’s threatening to go to the police. Later, Laurie lies to Sinead about getting the job at Hollyoaks High and goes to The Loft’s casino night to try and win enough money to pay off Georgia. He succeeds.

Elsewhere, Cindy is back in the village and appalled to find Donna Marie living in her house. Mac pulls on Cindy’s heartstrings. Later, Mac messes with Cindy’s bipolar meds.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ruhma arrives at Heston’s grave and talks to him about Alia deciding to stick with medical school, noting that Shak is still struggling. She also tells him about the Carter Cup, and how Mrs Tembe isn’t coping. She wishes they hadn’t had that argument about the biscuits. Ruhma gets up to go, but first reminisces about the time they went to Stratford. She brings out a piece of paper and recites some Shakespeare about how their ‘revels are ended’, with tears in her eyes.  

Meanwhile, Izzie sneaks into Zara’s dressing room and eyes up all the lotions and potions, like a kid in a sweet shop. She opens Zara’s wardrobe and begins trying on its contents. How will Zara react when she walks in to find Izzie wearing one of her outfits and impersonating her.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
