Pick of the Plots: Friday January 11th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Sophie and Tim lure Duncan’s daughter, Olivia, to Speed Daal to get information from her. Olivia angrily calls her Dad, who soon arrives at Speed Daal to take her home, however it’s clear Tim has hit a nerve. Tim decides to go after Duncan, wanting to beat a confession out of him. Duncan does a runner but Tim catches up with him. Duncan steps back into the road and is hit by a car.

Meanwhile, Sinead brushes her hair and a huge clump comes out but Beth and Daniel are supportive. As Daniel and Sinead await the results of her scan, Sinead bursts into tears, convinced he won’t fancy her when she’s bald so Daniel forms a plan. Later, Sinead is taken aback when Kirk explains Daniel has gone to get his head shaved. When Daniel returns home, will he have gone through with it? After a call from the hospital, Sinead tells Daniel that they’ve got her results.

Elsewhere, Johnny confides in Carla that Jenny was driving the car when it hit Liz and that should the worst happen, he’d be grateful if she would look after the business; Claudia is taken in for police questioning; Ken is furious with Audrey; and Brian has teething problems on his first day at The Kabin.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Realising she has dropped Tiffany in it, Bernadette tries to rectify things but is unnerved by Evie’s threatening response. Later whilst on the job with Rat, Tiffany gets annoyed when Bernadette arrives to warn her but as they argue, Rat secretly takes the drugs from Tiffany’s bag. Soon, Tiffany panics when the tube is held on the platform and two police officers board.

Meanwhile, Mitch fixes The Vic window and realising he overreacted Mick wants to make amends with Bailey. Mick tracks Bailey down at football practice and he and Mitch meet Caden the football coach, who is struggling to cope with the team and end up stepping in to help. However, Caden later quits completely, leaving them responsible for the team.

Elsewhere, Max is touched by Rainie’s birthday present for Abi – an album filled with pictures of her mum, and he lets her go to the crying baby; Max books Rainie a doctors appointment; and Keegan notices that the Taylor’s new bathroom suite is Kandice’s old one.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm and 9pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

In an attempt to make Debbie forget about Joe, Cain plays cupid with her and a client.

Scheming Maya offers to give Jacob some private tuition. David is none the wiser as Jacob’s heart is left pounding at the thought.

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

It’s the day of the closing arguments in Buster’s court case. Imran is struggling, but Ollie and Brooke support him. Later, chemistry flies between Ollie and Brooke.

Meanwhile, Damon and Brody have a heart to heart. Later, the jury is in, and every one discovers whether they have done enough to get Buster sent down.

Elsewhere, Russ has left all of his money to Max, and Mercedes doesn’t have access to it.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

The gossip Mill in is in overdrive as everyone wonders why Sid hasn’t shown up for work. During a meeting, Mrs Tembe calls Zara and Daniel out on their inappropriate behaviour. With Daniel adamant that they are over, Zara drops to her knees and begs him to take her back but will it be enough?

Meanwhile, Gordon wonders if Mrs Tembe has told anyone about them and she admits that she hasn’t. He worries that she is embarrassed by him but actually she just hasn’t found the right time. Mrs Tembe ponders what she can offer him, due to her relationship inexperience, but Gordon is smitten and pulls her in close for a kiss.

Elsewhere, Ruhma tells Emma thats he is shelving her plans to sell the house for now.

Doctors, Friday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
