An English language version will air on BBC One Wales, while a Welsh version will air on S4C.

BBC One Wales and S4C is to bring viewers shots of Wales as never seen before with a landmark natural history series that tells the story of its amazing wildlife through one extraordinary year. Wales is a mosaic of spectacular habitats, and the groundbreaking Wales: Land of the Wild and Cymru Wyllt will shine a light on some incredible – and often secret – stories.
Hollywood star Michael Sheen, who was raised in Port Talbot, will narrate Wales: Land of the Wild for BBC One Wales, with a soundtrack written by world-renowned composer Sir Karl Jenkins and his son Jody, and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
