Pick of the Plots: Thursday February 21st

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Desperate to know her son is alright, Karen piles the pressure on Sharon. With Phil keeping schtum, Sharon manipulates Louise into getting on Phil’s case about it but is taken aback when Louise tells Phil that she’s pregnant. Phil is furious and as things escalate Karen enters. Seeing Phil’s anger, Karen assumes the secret is out but quickly learns what’s going on as Phil receives a picture of a badly beaten Keanu.

Meanwhile, Iqra and habiba drum up business for the restaurant in The Vic and instantly get on the wrong side of the Slaters. However, Habiba is less than impressed when she overhears Mick telling Kat off for not doing her job properly and decides to teach him a lesson, which puts them back in Kat’s good books.

Elsewhere, Mel gets a visit from DS Barnes and makes a big decision about Hunter; Tiffany and Bernadette make amends and Tiffany helps Bernadette get ready for a date; Rainie and Stuart compete to look after Dot, and Rainie is frustrated at Max for ignoring her calls.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

An hungover Pete arrives for work on the farm where an equally hungover Matty is too caught up in moaning about Cain to warn him that the tractor is malfunctioning. Covering a shift for Vanessa, Rhona is also at the farm to check on some cows. As Rhona calls Pete from the barn, he’s distracted by his phone and when the tractor’s brakes fail he swerves into the barn, knocking Rhona to the ground where she lies unconscious and bleeding.

As Rhona’s stretchered into an ambulance, a livid Pete blames Cain, and guilt-stricken Matty can’t bring himself to confess. In hospital, Rhona’s life hangs in the balance.

Elsewhere, Chas is worried when Paddy’s DNA results arrive; Jai takes drastic action; and Faith’s suspicious of a smartly dressed Debbie.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Imran decides to hand himself in to the police while Tony confronts Ste, knowing that Ste taunted Imran in to punching him. Imran receives a youth caution. Ste rings Jonny, who convinces him that Imran is the only one to blame. It becomes clear that Jonny was behind the meme of Misbah…

Meanwhile, Brody is furious when he finds out that Damon’s spent all their New York savings on Lisa’s Love Boat without telling him. Maxine is excited, thinking that Damon will ask her to move in with him. When he tells her that he bought the boat, she’s mortified when she realises that he didn’t buy it for her and Minnie to live on. Later, Brody and Damon make up, but Damon has to rush off when he gets a distressing text from Maxine who he finds her on the floor at Sienna’s flat, claiming she can’t feel her legs.

Elsewhere, Mac puts Donna-Marie’s picture up on a high-class escort website.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Becky calls Zara in for a catch up but opens up a bit too much about her parentless upbringing for Zara’s liking. Becky mentions the trouble with the receptionists and the library and Zara can’t bear it. Later, Valerie and Karen are surprised to see that Becky has made some new promotional posters for the library and placed a bell on the rear counter so patients can get their attention. Becky and Zara watch from the sidelines as the ringing bell starts to drive Karen and Valerie crazy…

Meanwhile, Al is revelling in his 15 minutes of fame – he’s got his own hashtag and has been asked to write a piece for the local paper. Jimmi cautions against it, some of the comments are people laughing at him but Al is distracted by a phone call which only adds fuel to his ego. Catrin’s attempts to get Al to realise he was actually quite rude to the bus driver fall on deaf ears.
