Lee Dixon joins ITV Sport from the BBC
Former Arsenal and England defender Lee Dixon has joined ITV Sport as a pundit, after leaving the BBC after the Euro 2012 championships.
Dixon joins up with former BBC colleague Adrian Chiles and Dixon will be used on ITV’s football coverage which includes the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup.
Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said: “We are delighted that Lee is joining our team with his wealth of experience, knowledge and insight. His appointment follows our acclaimed Euro 2012 broadcasts and signals ITV Sport’s intention to continue to bring viewers top-quality coverage.”
It was thought ITV pundit Gareth Southgate was leaving his role of pundit to concentrate on his FA job, however he is leaving their and it is unclear whether he will continue at ITV or look to find a way back into management.
