Vicky Pattison has announced that she is leaving Geordie Shore.
The 26 year old will appear in the ninth series of the show which starts tonight (28 October) but won’t feature in any subsequent runs as she feels she has outgrown the show.
”The rumours are true, it’s the right time for me to leave ‘Geordie Shore’, the show hasn’t grown up and I have. I know a lot of the people in the house are going to be quite content to sort of be 40 years old and still downing jagerbombs and bucking birds, but for me that was just never an option.” – Vicky Pattison
Spawned from the US’s Jersey Shore, the MTV UK reality hit began in 2011 and follows the raucous antics of a group of young men and women from around the North East who live together for the duration of filming in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Pattison – one of five remaining original cast members – cited meeting Daniel ‘Fit Dan’ Conn in Australia and excursions to penis museums around the world whilst filming abroad as her highlights from the series. Her worst moment was her break-up from her co-star, ex-fiancé Ricci Guarnaccio.
MTV has confirmed that a tenth series of Geordie Shore has been commissioned while its ninth kicks off tonight at 10.00pm on the channel (Sky: 126) and sees Vicky crowned Queen of the Geordie Shore house.
