Filmed during the town’s peak season, Skeg Vegas follows talent manager Noel Gee and his glam rocker sidekick Kriz Garrick as they attempt to get their stars on to the bill of venues such as Club Tropicana. The doc also takes a candid look at the lives of some of the town’s entertainers.

It may be a million miles away from Nevada’s Sin City, but the highs and lows of Skegness are just as visceral. Skeg Vegas tells the compelling stories of the heartbreak and triumph of this talent circuit, showing the real, vibrant, honest, big-hearted world of the coalface of British live entertainment. – Channel 4 Press

Viewers will meet an Elvis impersonator dubbed The Memphis Flash whose alcohol consumption is beginning to take its toll and a singer who juggles caring for her seriously ill father with her dreams of stardom.

Swan Films is the production company behind the project with Christopher Amess overseeing key aspects of production. Precise transmission details have not been provided by Channel 4 who only state that it will air ‘early in the new year’.
