Saturday Night Takeaway lost 300,000 viewers on Saturday, losing out to The Voice UK.
Despite a drop in ratings from the series opener last week, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway continues to ride high for ITV. On Saturday, 6.2 million viewers tuned in to witness Richard Madeley prank unsuspecting visitors at his home under the guide of Ant and Dec and actor Simon Callow take part in the End of the Show Show.
The Voice UK dominated Saturday night, topping the list of most watched programmes for the day. It was the beginning of the Battle Rounds where the contestants do battle against each other in an intense sing-off. An average of 7.2 million viewers tuned into BBC One, peaking at an impressive 8.1 million viewers.
The Voice UK is continuing to prove critics wrong as ratings climb for the third series. Traditionally viewers turn-off once the Blind Auditions are over.
