Daniel isn’t best pleased to discover that Chesney is flogging off Sinead’s stuff from the kebab shop. Chesney shoves him hard but as Daniel snaps Chesney is hit with more than he bargained for. Later, Daniel comforts Sinead but she’s taken back when he presents her with a necklace and explains it belonged to his mother.
As Rosie and Sophie clean the flower shop windows, Zack the builder makes lewd comments. Sally complains about his sexist remarks to the foreman of the site and when this doesn’t have the desired effect, takes to launching a protest.
Elsewhere, Gail helps Shona out at the café to make amends; Mel advises Bethany to have a contraceptive implant.

Robert visits Aaron in prison. They struggle to mute their affection for one another – will they be seen sharing an intimate moment?
When he wakes up, a bound and gagged Rakesh is shocked to discover who is behind his kidnapping. Despite his ordeal, Rakesh starts to feel sorry for them. But will he get out of the situation unhurt?
Elsewhere, Lawrence gets angry with Chrissie when she confronts Ronnie; Charity is up to no good and has Frank in her sights.

Grace begs Neeta to bring Curtis to her. As Leela helps Jesse with Curtis, Neeta unwittingly makes off with baby Daniel instead. Leela assumes that Louis has snatched their son. Soon Neeta surfaces with Daniel and is given a choice by DS Armstrong.
Meanwhile, Simone and Zack are confused as to why Louis was in the frame for snatching Daniel.
Peri is dreading her first day back at school after Cameron’s arrest. The emotion of Daniel going missing gets too much and she steals an expensive necklace from The Emporium.

Daniel struggles to sleep, and Zara tries to get him to do things to take his mind off the subject. Daniel is imagining the worst case scenario, that he could be struck off. Zara won’t let him come back to work. At work, Sid steps into the breach to deal with Daniel’s absence. When something needs Daniel’s signature, Sid offers to go round. Daniel is annoyed when Sid hangs around. Sid manages to uncover Daniel’s main worry, that Joe will now view him differently as a father. He is no longer a superhero, that he has let him down. Zara tells him she has contacted the MDU, and they hug, the situation not going away.
Ruhma visits Mrs Tembe at home, filling her in on what’s going on in her absence. She accidentally reveals Daniel’s situation, and Mrs Tembe overreactions, and Ruhma has to stop her getting involved. Ruhma asks Mrs Tembe where her work/life balance is, and that it needs sorting out. Eventually Ruhma gets to the point, and asks if Mrs Tembe would like to come to dinner with her, Heston and a friend of Heston (Charles.) She is actually surprised when Mrs Tembe say yes.
While Rob deals with a complicated investigation following a break in where he finds an unconscious old woman. The MO appears to point to a particular criminal, Pat Delaney, who Rob brings in for questioning, though Pat denies everything, until Rob tells him it has now changed to murder.
