Filming is underway at The Bottle Yard Studios on a new series of Andy’s Safari Adventures, for CBeebies.

Produced by the BBC’s world-renowned Natural History Unit, Andy’s Safari Adventures is a co-commission from CBeebies in the UK and BBC Worldwide for the international CBeebies channels. Filming of the forty fourteen minute episodes began on 6th March and will continue for thirteen weeks.

Andy’s Safari Adventures is made using the latest digital CGI and green screen technology with footage from the BBC’s archive. The programme is a continuation of the highly popular strand which comprises Andy’s Wild Adventures, Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures and last year’s BAFTA-nominated Andy’s Prehistoric Adventures.

The Bottle Yard Studios is a leading centre for film and TV production outside London, attracting a host of major UK and international productions. Recent titles include ITV drama Broadchurch, upcoming Starz drama The White Princess, BBC One dramas Poldark and Sherlock: The Abominable Bride and E4/Netflix comedy horror Crazyhead.

“We developed our green screen studio to suit the team’s needs for the last series, so it’s great to have the team back on site picking up where they left off for this new show – which promises to be another feast for the eyes!” – Fiona Francombe, Site Director of The Bottle Yard Studios
