Pick of the Plots: Monday May 15th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Monday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

An upswing in fortunes for Peter and Toyah doesn’t last when Peter learns from the IVF clinic that Toyah has proceeded with treatment behind his back. Peter turns to Leanne when during a row Toyah admits she still doubts his innocence over the attack on Ken. Later, Leanne and Toyah press Chloe – but will she finally alibi Peter?

Anna clocks Faye climbing into Phelan’s van. She’s furious to find out that Faye has been visiting Seb at the Young Offenders’ Unit. Anna and Faye have a blazing row. Later, Anna turns down a hotel booking with Kevin due to what has been going on – but could there be more to her not wanting to get intimate with Kevin?

Elsewhere, Nick arranges a naming ceremony for Oliver but Steve declines his invite sensing that Nick would rather he not be there; Shona’s friends rally round after she announces that she’s leaving the street for a new job – will she change her mind?

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Jack meets with his lawyer after his fisticuffs with Charlie, and is relieved to be advised that it shouldn’t affect his chances of keeping Matthew. However, Jack is stunned when the police later arrive to arrest him. 

Denise heads to the job centre to sign on to benefits but after a long wait, is frustrated to learn they are unable to help her without an application forcing her to leave empty handed. Meanwhile, Michelle attends a job interview. 

Elsewhere, Ian is given food for thought by Woody; the stall holders start to turn on Carmel when they learn she has an interview at the council.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

As Marlon psyches himself up to propose to Carly, she is thrown to come face-to-face with her ex Matt (who is also the father of her son, Billy, who died) at the Woolpack. Matt’s arrival rakes up painful memories of the past for Carly. Marlon arrives and is riled to see Carly distressed. As Marlon ejects Matt from the pub, Matt ends up hitting him leaving Carly feeling wretched. Will Marlon go ahead with the proposal?

Elsewhere, Vanessa’s relieved when Rhona agrees to seek professional help at rehab down south; Rishi finds a horrified Nell who’s set up camp in the factory; Zak feels useless after being unable to sort out the house and pay the bills

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Leela and Tegan find out that Courtney is pregnant. Courtney decides to have a termination but after talking to Nancy, she changes her mind. However, Tegan and Leela think she’s gone through with the termination.

Joel returns and tells Warren and Siena that he’s been at a church retreat, but he’s hiding something. Cleo is concerned when Joel freaks out after thinking he has seen Bart. Joel reacts to her concern by moving in for a kiss. Meanwhile, Grace instructs Goldie to plant fake notes in The Loft. Goldie is inadvertently guilt-tripped by Sienna after carrying out the act. Later, the police don’t find the counterfeit notes but their presence panics Joel. Goldie picks up on the fact Joel’s edginess relates to Bart.

Elsewhere, Holly is won over when Nick suggests they go to Thailand and reacts badly to Cleo urging caution.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Ruhma notices a distracted Valerie at the hospital who eventually confides that she’s just been told she can’t have children. Ruhma gives Valerie a pep talk. At the Mill, Valerie shares the news with Ayesha and reveals that she was going to ask Daniel to be the sperm donor. Ayesha doesn’t think she should let Daniel know what her intentions for him were, but Valerie doesn’t heed this advice. Daniel is gobsmacked to find out, though he also feels sorry for Valerie.

Elsewhere, Sid gets a call out to deal with two trapped girls. Karen visits a potentially vulnerable pregnant woman, only to find she is not as alone as was thought.
