Carol Vorderman doesn’t want loose maths skills
Loose Women host, and former Countdown queen, Carol Vorderman is on a mission to improve the nations maths skills.
Following recent concerns that too many pupils leave school without adequate skills in numeracy needed by employers, Wooky Europe has teamed up with Carol Vorderman to launch the very latest maths puzzles – Carol Vorderman’s Mathable. Carol of course is widely known as a mathematical genius thanks to her stint on words and numbers game Countdown where she made the numbers add up between 1982 and 2008.
Carol says, “I am delighted to be launching Carol Vorderman’s Mathable range. It’s a really fun, interesting way to get children involved in maths outside of school and help them to hone their number skills. I truly believe this is the best maths game available.”
Carol Vorderman’s Mathable is a cross-number game of logic, strategy and skill that challenges children and adults alike. It provides a mini workout for your brain using addition, subtraction, division and multiplication to generate the highest score.
The existing maths-based games and puzzles range is set to be re-branded as ‘Carol Vorderman’s Mathable’ and will be hitting the shelves next month. The presenter’s name and image will now appear on all Mathable packaging, including Mathable Deluxe Wooden Edition, Mathable Domino, Mathable Quattro and Mathable Junior.
Carol adds: “Mathable looks set to go down a storm this Christmas and with so many different games and puzzles there’s no chance of getting bored!”
Specifically designed to give your grey matter a boost, Carol Vorderman’s Mathable is suitable for anyone aged 9+, with the Carol Vorderman’s Mathable Junior range perfect for those aged 5+.
Mignon Klerk, Marketing Director/Partner for Wooky Europe said: Mathable is a fantastic product and having Carol on board is a big boost to the collection. Carol is still the UK’s favourite maths-buff so to have her endorsement for Mathable is a great coup for Wooky Europe.”
Carol Vorderman’s Mathable will be available from Hamleys, Harrods, Amazon, The Entertainer and Buy4Less.com from September 2012 with RRP’s from £4.99 – £24.99.
Loose Women returns to ITV1 later this autumn.
