Chris Stacey takes a look back to the recent goings on in Weatherfield with Coronation Street and the village formerly known as Beckindale in Emmerdale with his Soap Monthly round up looking to the big events in the world of soap from February.

CORONATION STREET

Steve warns Tracy that he will be going to see his lawyer to get Tracy out the house. Carla and Frank go to court for the first day of the case. Sylvia is shocked when Milton mistakes Nicks Bistro for Roys “restaurant” . Carla takes the stand in court. Carla give evidence. Steve finds that he can’t end his marriage to Tracy for a year or get Tracy out of the house as her name is in the deeds. Sylvia comes clean with Milton when he guesses that the Bistro isn’t Roy’s. The prosecution question Carla about Peter. Frank tells Ann and Sally that he hasn’t given the pictures of Peter and Carla to his barrister. Sylvia takes Milton to Roy’s cafe. Maria give evidence of the night she went to Frank’s it doesn’t go well. Tracy tells Deirdre about Steve. Brian’s meeting with the governor of the school doesn’t go well. Deirdre goes to see Steve and tells him that Amy will lose not Tracy or him. Peter takes the stand and when cross examined it doesn’t go well.

Milton has plans from Roy. While Peter gives his evidence Ann gives Leanne the pictures of Peter and Carla kissing. Peter is asked by the prosecution if he is in a relationship with Carla when Leanne shouts out why is Peter kissing Carla, Peter admits he is. Leanne turns to Stella and tells her that Carla and Peter are having an affair. Leanne tells Stella that Carla ran Stella over not Frank and Peter knew all about it. Carla’s barrister asks if she is hiding anything else. Peter goes to see Leanne at the Rovers at first Stella bans him but Leanne agrees. Sally lets the regulars of the Rovers know that Peter and Carla are having an affair. Peter and Leanne argue and Peter decided to leave but Leanne says she’ll go. Stella wants to help Deidre asks Stella what’s going on. Peter asks Leanne if they are finished. Leanne leave Simon crys as he runs after the can trying to stop her.

Simon blames Peter for Leanne leaving, Peter tells Ken that he loves Carla, Ken tells him to go to court for Carla. Carlas barrister ask Carla and Peter not to sit together. Roy is shocked when he see Milton looking at the old butchers shop. Milton plans Beef encounter a chain of theme Railway restaurant. Frank takes the stand in court. He gave evidence and waits the verdict. Frank is found “Not Guilty” Steve has the house turned into to flats when Tracy is out, Tracy is angry. Peter tried to talk Carla into a retrial.

Ann and Sally are excited that Frank got off. Frank tries to wind up Peter. Kirk hears via text that Frank got off. Frank goes into the Rovers and suffers Stella’s questioning about the car accident. Rosie and Jason have a song in Owens van the hand break comes off and they hit another car. Tracy tells Steve she will be the neighbour from hell. Jason gets a fixed penalty fine. Tracy told Steve she is going to report him to the council. Brian tells Julie he got the school council on his side about healthy eating. Beth tells Stella that Carla has arrived in the Street. Stella goes for Carla and Peter. Rosie is excited when the local press want an interview about the accident. Brian and Kylie fall out about healthy eating at school. Frank goes to see Carla and tells her hes done nothing wrong and wont avoid her anymore. Owen sacks Jason when he see the article in the paper. Rosie thinks she is sacked when her agent isn’t happy.

The war between Tracy and Steve hots up he cuts her electricity off Tracy cuts Steve’s heating off. Peter is called into see the head at Simons school as he is misbehaving. Carla is shocked when Frank moves his working into Underworld. Frank offered Carla a deal to buy her out. Carla decided to accept his offer but finding him in underworld and his shock that shows no remorse for what his done, she tells him she wont accept and will fight on. Staff at Underworld are confused, but Carla confess to Peter she is not sure if she has done the right thing by taking on Frank. Rosie has an audition for a reality show.

Eva thinks Stella has forgotten her birthday although Nick is taking her out. Sylvia is excited when Milton offers to take her out. Paul is shocked when he finds his house has flooded and Lesley is due home soon Jason helps but it is a big job. Stella dosen’t like Nick taking Eva out. Milton tells Sylvia that he wants to go ahead with the “Beef Encounter” restaurant and its his present to her. Jason rents the flat to Tina. Roise gets the audition, and has to be in London for 12 weeks, she confides in Sophie that its a reality show where 12 single girls have to battle to win a rich mans hand in marriage. Stella tells Nick she dont trust him Nick tells Stella she is taking things out on the wrong person. Stella wants a Tea to apologise. Carla asks help from Peter.

Sally wants to make a big thing of Rosie leaving for London. Katie is fed up with Chesney. Eileen suggested to Jason that he go to London with Rosie. Eileen suggested to Paul that he and Lesley move in with her, when Jason goes to London. Jason shocks Rosie by telling her hes coming to London with her. Rosie asked Owen to take Jason back he agreed. Owen asked Jason back but Jason said he is going to London. Jason tackles Rosie she explains about the show where she needs to be single as its a dating show, Jason leaves. Eileen is shocked when Jason tells her what has happened with Rosie. Katy leaves baby Joseph in the house on his own while she goes to the bank she gets back in the nick of time before Chesney got back. Katy tells the Dr that the baby keeps crying and she can’t cope. Tyrone and Kirsty go for a scan for the baby Tommy is less then impressed when Kirsty slags off Tina.

Tina moves into her flat. At Eva’s party Gail and Stella both have the same top on and Gail get drunk. Sylvia tells Roy she has decided not to go along with Milton idea. Rosie leaves and says a tearful goodbye to Jason. Tina is shocked when she finds Jason in her bathroom. Kirsty talks to Tommy about Tina, but Tommy isnt happy.

Tommy hears Kirsty talking to a guy called Nathan. Sally refuses to go back on a machine which causes friction between Carla and Frank. Tommy tells Tina about Kirsty’s meeting she asks him to go. Issy asked Gary to move back in with her but he refuses. Gary has second thoughts and says he wants to move in with her. Brian tells Ken that he has a vasectomy but hasn’t told Julie. Tommy tells Tina that he saw Kirsty meet a man in the bar, Tina wants to tell Tyrone, Tommy and Tina tell Tyrone about Kirsty’s meeting. Julie tells Eileen she might be pregnant. Audrey has a funny turn in the street Gail makes her go to the DR’s.

Deirdre tells Peter that Simon hates Carla. Tyrone questions Kirsty about where she has been and says he know she has met another man. Kirsty calls Nathan and asks him to explain to Tyrone whats going on. Gail and Audrey make a pack to stop drinking. Julie shocks Brian and tells him she is pregnant. Nathan turns out to be Kirsty’s cousin and it was a Valentines day drive in a Ferrari Kirtsy has arranged as Nathan deals in expensive cars. Kirsty leaves. Simon plays up Peter has to drag him back to the flat. Brian spends the night at Kens as he thinks Julie has been unfaithful to him. Later he tells Julie the truth, she is shocked.

Katie leaves baby Joseph alone again. Tyrone goes to the police station and asks Kirsty to marry him. Tyrone suggested to Tommy he move on, Tommy blames Kirsty and moves in with Tina and Jason.Gail and Audrey test each other on their health kick and decided to go jogging in the country they end up in a pub, they are shocked when they bump into Lewis. At first he makes out hes his brother Hugh but the pub landlord give it away. Lewis offers to buy them a drink but leave the pub. Sylvia is surprised when Milton gives he a first class ticket to Palm Springs. Sylvia asks Roy if he wants her to stay he refuses to reply. Lewis heads to the Street and gives a betting slip to Peter saying sorry. Lewis gives Peter the £4000 he owes him plus £1000 interest and tells Peter he will give himself up too the police. Sylvia head of with Milton to the airport. Deidre sees Lewis and punches him in the face. Later Lewis asks Audrey to meet him and apologises to her and says he regrets cheating on her, she takes him to the police station, later he returns and says he wants to get back together with her. Roy and Hayley is shocked when Sylvia on the doorstep. David and Kylie are back from Barbados Audrey give Kylie a job, Lewis goes to see Audrey.

Katie leaves Joseph on his own again Faye see. Audrey tells Lewis she doesn’t want to see him again. Faye tells Katie she knows whats going on as her mum used to leave her. Tommy says he is thinking of moving on. Frank loses Carla an order as the client is against Frank. Faye looks after Joseph. Audrey gets a bunch of flowers from Lewis. Faye cleans the house from Katie and makes her some cheese on toast as she takes the rubbish out she gets locked out. Faye raises the alarm with Owen and Anna. Audrey is shocked when she finds Lewis and finds his living in a bed sit. Carla is shocked when she finds Frank has won a big order. Katie comes back and is shocked when Owen, Anna and Chesney are waiting for her. Tommy chats up a girl.Katy explains that nothing makes sence any more, Owen takes Joseph away from Katie and Chesney. Stella encourages Tina to date Tommy but she see him kissing a girl. Chesney finds Katie has gone and blames Owen. Katie has been missing all night everyone blames Owen. Steve tells Tracy to get a job and he wants half the mortgage.

Issy tells Chesney that Katie called and wants to meet her. Peter offers Tracy a job at the betting shop, but she has a row with Beth Peter has second thought. Issy and Katie meet Katie says she’s not fit to have a baby. Peter asks Carla to pick up Simon, Frank offers to buy Carla out to play Happy Familes. Peter refuses to pay Karl a bet out. Carla is shocked when Simon shows off. Tracy tells Steve about the fight with Beth. Tommy tried to apologise to Tina but Jodie his one night stand turns up. Kylie meets Lewis in the Rovers and later tells Audrey and Gail about the meeting, Kylie tells Audrey to listen to her heart. Owen wants to bring up Joseph but Chesney says he and Katie dont want him in their lives. Steve gets Jason to take the wall down Tracy thinks Steve is having second thoughts, but he has plans to move Beth and her nightmare son Craig in. Gossip gets round about Carla’s actions at the school. When Julie and Hayley ask her about her drinking she makes an announcement in the factory. Chesney is shocked when Katie returns. Owen makes it up with Faye.

Stella warns Carla if she hurts Simon, she’ll have her to answer too, later a taxi pulls up on the Street and its Leanne, she tells Stella she come to srot things out and then is going back to London for good. Carla is shocked when she sees Leanne in the flat. Anna and Owen offer to help out with baby sitting duties for Katie and Chesney. Beth declares war on Tracy. Leanne and Carla have words leaving Leanne upset. Simon sees Leanne and asks her to stop and tells her about Carla gets drunk. Sally reads an E Mail where Frank is planning on sacking the work force. Leanne heads to the factory and starts a fight on the shop floor with Carla.

Owen is pleased that he seems to be making progress with Anna. Beth tried to seduce Steve he is shocked. Frank over heard Karl saying that Peter didn’t honour a bet, he phones a mate who investigates bent bookies. Peter goes to see Leanne and Simon they get the truth out of him he lied about Carla hitting him. Lewis goes to the Bistro Gail wants Nick the throw him out but Lewis says he has cash Nick lets him have a meal, Audrey turns up at the Bistro Gail thinks its a set up. Sally is worried about Franks plan but he explains that he will buy Carla out sauce the work force. Frank tells Sally her job is ok and they will make lots of money and sail into the sunset, Later Frank gets in a car with a woman, Jenny he tells her what happened and it wont be Sally he sails into the sun set with but Jenny.

EMMERDALE

Debbie is worried about her visit to the Dr and him finding out that she is pregnant. Ali wants to stay in the village, but Ruby wants to go back to Leeds. Moria is shocked when Holly suggests Moria help round the house. Rodney blackmails Carl into buying his old car. Diane tells Andy that Debbie has gone to the Drs with Cammron but Cammron hand’t. Jai is worried that Nikhil seems the be giving Charity and him space.

Jai books a romantic few days for him and Charity. Cammron admits to Cain he isn’t happy about the Debbie Andy situation. Debbie tells Alicia that no one is meant to know about the pregnancy as they need to keep it from Sarah. Jacob lets slip to Sarah about the pregnancy. Holly told Moria she is worried that John is having an affair with Chaz. Jimmy suspects that there is something going on with Carl and Rodney. Debbie is angry and blames Alicia for gossiping. Moria and Chaz have a row in the pub about Chaz having an affair with John. Cammron warns Andy to stay away from both Sarah and Debbie. Zac is uninterested in anything Lisa is worried. Chaz and John talks about having an affair. The air is tense between Chaz and Moria over John. Val hatches a plan to win back Amy and asks her on a girls holiday to visit Paul in Portugal, Amy says no.

Andy tells Debbie that Cammron has warned him off seeing Debbie and Sarah, Debbie isn’t happy and tackles Cammron. Rodney blackmails Carl for a further 10k John and Chaz meet she gives him peck on the cheek. Ashley and Laural are worried about Gabby’s school results. Amy tells Eric that Kyle will be going to a new family. Rodney goes to Court and gets away with a simple fine and 8 points. Carl wants his 10k back. Moria had been drinking after she had seen John and Chaz together again. Val wants to get her hands on Rodneys 10k. John bans Moria from the farm. Jimmy asks Carl to explain the missing 10k form the company accounts.

Amy tells Eric and Val that she feels she is breaking the family up. Amy tells Val and Eric to sort themselves out and then she will come back. Carl tells Jimmy the truth and says Rodney conned him. Jimmy tells Carl to forget it and he will have to sort it out. Pearl shows Nicola the report on Rodney in the paper. Nicola heads to Jimmy and demands to know what is going on. The whole village talks about Rodney. Amy catches Eric and Val arguing. Amy is shocked when Kyle’s adoptive parents refuse a meeting. Val is shocked when Denise tell her off. Nicola demands to knows the truth from Jimmy and Rodney. Val and Eric are worried that Amy hasn’t been seen. Amy turns up at Dingles farm battered, Amy tells Belle that she was beating up. Adam asks Moria what is going on with John and Chaz there is an outbust in the pub. Rodney gives Carl and Jimmy the 10k back for a share in the business and the profits, Carl has no option but to agree. Val tells Diane she wants revenge on Eric. Amy tells Sarah that she is seeing her social worker, and will see Kyle for the last time.

Rodney tried to bring contacts into Kings. Moria is shocked when she sees Chaz and John kissing. Val tells Eric that they need some quality time with Amy and suggest Portugal. Adam asks Aaron to get Chaz to leave John alone but Aaron refuses and a fight breaks out. John and Chaz see the fight. John tells Chaz he plans to file for Divorce. Val and Amy hatch a plan to get Eric to go with them. Hannah Holly and Adam asks John to take Moria back. John tells Moria that he wants a divorce. Katie moves into Declans. John is shocked at the families reaction about the divorce from Chaz. Adam and Aaron have words again. John goes to see Chaz and tells her about the familes reaction. Moria told Marlon how upset she is. Amy is worried that Eric and Vals nice act is just an act. Chaz tells the girls about the snog she had with John and would have gone further if Diane hadn’t burst in. Amy doesn’t want to go away with Val and Eric but Val bullies her into it.

John and Chaz plan an evening when he says he has the house to himself. Adam is angry when Aaron fixed the quad bike but didn’t tell him. Chaz goes over the top on for her date with John. Jimmy hassles Katie about Declan’s plans for an access road. Declan is planing a music festival, Eric finds his passport missing and plan to get a new one. But Eric finds its one of Vals stunts and she has planned for her and Amy to go without Eric. John and Chaz get down to it but John told Chaz he cant do it.

Diane is shocked that Val is up to her ticks. Declan is surprised that Charity wants to be project manager on his idea Moria confront Chaz and calls her a whore and slaps her when she says she would have slept with John. Marlon offered to give Rachel the money for Ali and Ruby’s rent. Rachel decided to sexy herself up as she thinks Marlon fancies her. Diane gets the idea that Val is planning to stay longer then 3 weeks she tells Eric. Adam tells John to stop looking at Chaz in the pub. Rachel makes a pass at Marlon. Amy is angry with Val. Moria and John talk but he is cold to her. Val blames Eric for every thing and says she needs to get away to get her head together. Ali and Ruby give Marlon the money back, Rachel embarrass Laurral about her affair with Marlon. Adam is upset that John hasn’t made up with Moria. Chaz tries to make up with Moria Chaz tells Moria that John still loves her. Marlon tried to make up with Rachel.

Laurral is worried that Ali might say something to the girls in the factory, Ruby over hears. Amy is angry with Val and tells Eric they wont miss her. Moria tells John that she wants a divorce. John is shocked that Moria has planned it. Ali tells Ruby she isn’t happy. Ruby and Ali fight over staying in the village or moving back to the council estate. Nicola warns them that they have to pay the rent or get out. Zac takes Lisa to Erics for a valentines dinner but Lisa feels embarrassed and wants to leave. Lisa thinks Zac is acting oddly because of the Cain incident. Moria told John she has found a lawyer and needs all the papers to start the proceedings. John is angry. but after a long chat John tells Moria he don’t want a divorce he wants them back together.

Zac tries to make it up to Lisa by cooking breakfast. Ali is shocked when Ruby pays the back rent with her savings, and now they can stay in the village. Nicola is not happy. John and Moria tell the family that they are not divorcing. Adam Holly and Hanna booked them a night away in a hotel. Aaron fixes a football teams van and takes a liking to the driver Ed. John and Moria try to get it on but fail. Edna is grateful that he beloved dog Tootsie is on the mend after Rona helped. Aaron is surprised when the guy driving to football van turns up and invites him to a party. Moria and John head off one their romantic night but disaster strikes when John’s landrover comes off the Icey road. While driving along Declan and Katie notice the land rover is off the road. Aaron asks Chaz for advice on the guy she tells him to go. Declan and Katie find John and Moria they manage to get Moria out but as the land rover is dangerously close to a cliff edge Declan cant save John and the land rover goes over the cliff. The rescue services get John to hospital and he under goes a life saving operation.

Holly Hannha and Adam rush to the hospital. John comes round and tells Moria he loves her but his heart stops and dies while the Drs work on him. The village is in shock at the news of Johns death Adam blames Declan. Delcan tells Nicola and Katie that the council will only approve an access road over the Bartons land. Andy is worried that the Land Rover his Land Rover was to blame. Debbie goes to see Andy, but Camron gets the wrong idea and warns Andy off again, Andy tells him that Debbies slept with him willingly. Camron doesn’t believe Andy, Debbie is worried that this may break up the relationship. Aaron gives another visit from Ed. Andy tells Debbie he told Camron the truth. Sarah is taken to hospital after the fall. Declan hears from the council and needs to put in the application for the rock festival and the access road. Declan and Katie go to see Moria. Adam is angry that Delcan is more interested in the access road then John’s death. Debbie leaves the hospital to stop Cammron from leaving. Adam tells Declan he is going to make his life a living hell.

Cammron leaves, he later returns to the village to say his last goodbyes. Charity tried to warn Andy of Debbie saying he has ruined everything. Lisa goes to see Moria and asks her if Zac has been up Moria is in a state. Ashley goes to see Moria Declan introduces Megan whos going to project manage the festival. Hannha told Ashley that she wants to say something at the funeral Adam is shocked. Debbie tells Andy that Cammron doesn’t want his anywhere near the house. Katie learns that Megan is Declan’s half sister. Cammron tells Debbie he is still not sure if he is staying or going and wants no more lies. Megan questions Delcan about Katie, while Katie questions Jai about Megan whom is surprised that Megan is back on the scene after the last deal went wrong. Declan tells Megan that Jai was Mia father Megan is shocked. Cammron tells Andy he can’t have Sarah but can have her now Andy is off to Moria’s Declan tells Megan he wants the Barton land first before he can arrange the Rock Festival. Megan at first says she will not have anything to do with the project and after words with Katie she agrees .

Lisa can not understand why Zac is acting strangely. Zac is missing Lisa is worried. Megan goes to see Adam and asks him to consider the offer. Andy turns up at Sarah party. Nikhil shocked Jenny by telling her that he plans to do a marathon. Jimmy told Lisa he saw her van open Lisa thinks its Zac. Carl introduces himself to Megan. Lisa and Sam find the van but no Zac Lisa is worried. Adam warns off Megan saying leave the farm and family alone. Ashley and Laural plan a romantic evening but Sandy has a funny turn. As Lisa thinks the worse Zac turns up. Carl is shocked when Megan tells him that a sleep over isn’t an option. Lisa asks Zac to explain. Adam loses it Holly asks him to keep it together. Ashley warns Sandy off and tells him to stop drinking. Katie tells Megan to back off the Bartons till after the funeral. Lisa tells Debbie that she knows there is something up.Zac overs hears Zac says he will try and pull himself together. Its the day of John funeral and emotions ran high, Adam gets drunk at the wake and tells Declan just what he thought about him. But not only Declan Chaz and Aaron also get it.

Holly is worried about the future Megan tells Declan wants somewhere to live in the village and she agrees to a partnership. Adam apologises for his drunken behaviour but vows its get Declan off their back. Moria says she knows away John had an endowment policy. When Moria calls to cash in the policy she finds Declan had cashed it in at a loss. Victoria gets a job at the vets help out while Pearl is away. Ashley asks Rachel to clean for them, Ashley and Laural are surprised when Rachel wins over Sandy. Moria drops a bombshell she is selling the farm.
