Complaints flood in over Big Brother ‘bully row’
Over 1,000 viewers have complained to Ofcom following Conor McIntyre’s foul mouthed rant.
The media regulator was flooded with complaints after viewers watched Conor say he would punch fellow housemate Deana Uppal in the face. It is not known if Deana heard the comments, but Conor was speaking to several other housemates at the time.
Big Brother called him into the diary room where they warned him over “unacceptable language”. Viewers have seen Conor become annoyed with Deana over the past few weeks leading her to claim she is being “bullied”. Lydia Louisa, who has also been at the centre of number of arguments in the house has leveled the same accusation against Big Brother.
“Get your epilator and stick it up your a*se. We don’t give a f**k! Stick it up her f**king m*nge stupid b**tard. I’m gonna play loads of pranks on her. F**king piece of s**t, I don’t give a f**k if I’m pulled up to the diary room.” - Conor’s nasty rant seen on Monday’s show.
Fans of the show took to the official Big Brother Facebook and Twitter accounts to call on Big Brother to remove Conor from the house. The show’s producers have decided not to remove the Northern Irish housemate but have insisted in a statement that they do not condone what he said.
“We felt it was important to show that Conor’s behaviour was not condoned by Big Brother or any of the housemates, and that this kind of conduct will not be tolerated in the house.” – Big Brother
Deana is facing eviction this week alongside Lydia. Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
