Eye Spy 25: Bushism

It’s not often that we stray into politics on the site but this week’s Eye Spy is something of a tribute to ATVthe stupidity of former American President George Bush – and there’s eight years worth of stupidity to choose from! Like we said we don’t stray into politics often but we will say this; thank fuck Bush has gone. Don’t forget that Sunday’s is now the new home of Eye Spy and apologises for lack of Eye Spy last Sunday, the snow was too blame. Thank you to all those who have emailed in their suggestions, please do keep them coming: editor@atvnewsnetwork.co.uk

As we said in our introduction it’s not often that we stray into the murky and complicated world of politics but this week we’ve decided to make an exception. Our video features some of George Bush’ most stupid comments, the former president made stupid remarks so frequently that they were even given their own term – Bushisms. In shops across the country you can buy a series of posters listing every silly remark ever made by this man. We have two up in our office. They provide hours of amusement. Here is a video marking eight years of stupid Bush remarks.

Top Silly Story:

Our top story this week is a little old but was emailed in to us none the less. It concerns a man from Yorkshire who is clearly over 21; in fact he’s clearly over 80. However, at his local Supermarket he was asked for proof of age to buy a bottle of sherry. So he went to the press about it. As he’s clearly over legal age to buy such a product it does seem a little strange he was asked for proof of age but we will point out that Supermarkets do have the legal right to refuse to serve anyone. However, supermarkets are also expected to use common sense and ask customers who genuinely don’t look older than 21 [or 25 for those stores that operate at Think 25].
