The BBC has released a trailer for the forthcoming fifth season of Merlin.

The Saturday evening drama will return in the Autumn for its hotly anticipated fifth season with King Arthur (Bradley James) and Merlin (Colin Morgan) once again battling all kinds of evils that threaten the kingdom of Camelot with Morgana (Katie McGrath) remaining one of those threats.

The trailer has been released as part of BBC One‘s campaign, running during the Olympics, promoting its drama output. A drama featuring clips from forthcoming dramas Accused, Hunted and Ripper Street has already been released while next week a new Doctor Who trailer will also be released as part of the campaign.

Merlin co-creator Johnny Capps recently confirmed early talks where taking place over a sixth season of the fantasy drama but perhaps more excitedly producers are considering turning the series into a movie – or a series of movies!
