The hosts of ITV game show Red or Black? have played down press rumours that the show has been axed.

Ant and Dec appeared at the TV Choice awards in London last night where they were asked about Red or Black?

Ant said: “I’m sure you’ve read what I’ve read and we’ve had no conversations with ITV whatsoever. So since they are still rumours, and nothing has been confirmed or denied, then there’s not really much to say.”

The game show gives contestants the chance to win over £1 million by choosing red or black. On Saturday, £1.5 million was won, the highest ever amount on British television.

Created by Simon Cowell the show has been panned by TV critics and has failed to attract big numbers for ITV on a Saturday evening.
