Prospect Park’s revival of One Life to Live could get a boost as actors Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson are reportedly being lined up to return to the daytime soap when it returns later this year. Currently all three actors are appearing in ABC’s General Hospital as their OLTL characters but may have to depart Port Charles and return to Llanview temporarily.
That’s because under its licensing deal with ABC producers Prospect Park has the rights to all One Life to Live characters and so those who moved over to General Hospital technically belong to them. Daytime Confidential reports that Prospect Park is keen to secure Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson on a temporary basis to help attract fans as it re-launches One Live to Live online.
A source told the website “Prospect Park realizes these three characters could initially help draw fans to the new One Life”. An ABC spokesperson told TV Line “ There are ongoing collaborative conversations. We have various strategies in place depending on the outcome of these talks and of Prospect Park’s plans.”
So far actors Robin Strasser, Jerry Ver Dorn and Bob Woods have all officially signed up to reprise their roles while Erika Slezak is understood to be close to agreeing a deal to return.
