Live Premier League action returns to Absolute Radio

Absolute RadioLive Premier League action is back on Absolute Radio for another season. It kicks off tomorrow with featured match  commentary from Newcastle v Fulham in Rock and Roll Football.

Every Saturday, Russ Williams has pre-match build-up from 1.30pm, then award-winning lead commentator Jim Proudfoot broadcasts live from featured matches at 3pm each week.

The team keeps listeners up to date with all the scores, team news and more – from the Barclays Premier League and beyond. Then, from 5pm, Arsenal and England legend Ian Wright is joined by comedian Ian Stone for a unique mix of post-match entertainment, with reaction from the teams, fans, celebrities and football friends on the phone and via Twitter.

Whether your team has won, lost or drawn, Wrighty and Stoney will make sure the fans end the day with a laugh. The season kicked off with interviews from Frank Lampard, Shaun Wright Phillips, Geoff Hurst, Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye, Biffy Clyro, Miles Kane, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody and Editors. – Absolute Radio

Absolute Radio is set to broadcast live Barclays Premier League football commentary for the first time on FM. In addition to platforms including Digital Radio, 1215AM, absoluteradio.co.uk and the free Absolute Radio mobile player app, listeners will now be able to tune in to the match every Saturday on 105.8FM in London and the South East.

Rock and Roll Football, Saturday 31st August, from 1.30pm through to 7pm on Absolute Radio.
