Absolute RadioTonight on Absolute Radio Dave Stewart pops in for an iconic programme.

The Eurythmics founder presents his own show as part of Absolute Radio’s 5th birthday celebrations, picking some influences and talking about his fascinating career.

Stewart was born in Sunderland, in the North East of England, in 1952 and became a household name thanks to his time with Annie Lennox in The Tourists in the 70s and more fondly remembered as The Eurythmics in the 1980s.

The music duo released tracks which still define a sound of the decade including Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) and There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart).

As well as being in the forefront of tracks as a musician Stewart is also a renowned songwriter and record producer.
