Brand new creative festival, SohoCreate, has announced it is partnering with a number of leading brands.
SohoCreate aims to bring together the very best creatives to share their wisdom, thoughts, experience and ideas, revealing what inspires and motivates them. The festival will take place from June 4th through to the 6th in Soho, one of the most creative square miles in the world.
This festival of creativity is the brainchild of Westminster City Council and Tom Harvey.
The event partners have been announced as champions of the creative industries and therefore the ideal brands to collaborate and enhance the SohoCreate festival as a whole. The brands involved are Coutts; the GREAT Britain Campaign; The Groucho Club; Shaftesbury PLC and Soho Theatre.
With this unrivalled support, SohoCreate is fast becoming the place to showcase the creative industry this summer with key movers and shakers recognising the value of the area and making their presence felt. We are very excited about such progress at an early stage and will continue to support this event going forward. – Cllr Daniel Astaire, Westminster City Council cabinet member for business and enterprise
Soho Theatre is one of the most vibrant venues for new theatre, comedy and cabaret in the capital, and is renowned for bringing the most entertaining, brave and theatrical new work to its audiences. As one of London’s most creative cultural venues it is a perfect fit to host SohoCreate festival events organisers state.
The exclusive private members club, The Groucho Club is the result of a group of publishers who wanted a place to meet and relax and has now established itself as one of Soho’s most popular destinations amongst the creative industries while The GREAT Britain campaign aims to deliver jobs and growth for Britain by inspiring the world to think differently about this country, demonstrating that we are the best nation to visit, invest in, trade with and study in.
Shaftesbury PLC invests in the heart of London’s West End, including having significant holdings in Soho. Shaftesbury recognised the global importance of the creative industries in Soho and has over 65 office tenants from this sector, as well as numerous fashion retailers who design and create within the premises including Mark Powell, The Great Frog, Chris Ker, Nudie Jeans, Atelier Millinery and Misan Fabrics. We want SohoCreate to champion Britain’s creativity and we could not have found better partners to do that with. We want to be embedded in the creative fabric of Soho and of London and already, with our first set of key event partners, we are building a family across the political, physical and financial infrastructure and the creative content and talent. It’s a fantastic start for us. – SohoCreate CEO, Tom Harvey MBE
