Dancing on IceITV’s celebrity dancing competition Dancing on Ice continued to dominate the ratings last night as another double eviction took place. Elsewhere dramas Lark Rise to Candleford and Wild at Heart also continued to enjoy strong ratings.

 

ITV’s celebrity dancing competition Dancing on Ice continued to dominate the ratings last night as another double eviction took place. The celebrity skating/dancing competition returned last week Dancing on Icewith 8.6 million viewers although its result show rated slightly lower. Last week’s Dancing on Ice also saw a double eviction with Nadia Sawalha and Angela Rippon both voted off. This week’s instalment was seen by 8.9 million viewers peaking at 9.8 million viewers; its average audience is up on last week’s opening instalment. The results show once again rated lower with 7.5 million viewers at 9.30pm. This week former Neighbours actor Craig McLachlan and Ellen Rivas were booted off. Sandwiched between the two editions of Dancing on Ice was African drama Wild At Heart. Last week the drama returned for its sixth season with 7.4 million viewers but this week it saw ratings rise to 7.8 million viewers. At 10.15pm Adrian Chiles fronted That Sunday Night Show had 3.1 million viewers; only down slightly on last week’s 3.2 million viewers.

 

While ITV1 dominated Sunday ratings thanks to Dancing on Ice ratings for BBC One’s offering are still respectable. Antiques Roadshow at 6pm had 5.9 million viewers while rural magazine programme Countryfile had an impressive 6.6 million viewers. Period drama Lark Rise to Candelford continued its fourth season with 6.6 million viewers only down slightly on last week’s season premier. At 9pm the concluding part of detective drama Zen had 4.4 million viewers.
