Joe McFadden is the sixth celebrity contestant confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2017.
Strictly’s social media presence revealed the Scottish actor’s participation today (12 August).

Joe is best-known for playing the role of Raffaello ‘Raf’ di Lucca in BBC One medical drama Holby City and PC Joe Mason in 60s-set ITV cop drama Heartbeat. His other credits include Take the High Road and Sex, Chips & Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Glasgow-born Joe also has a background in theatre appearing in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Rent in London’s West End.
Joe joins Reverend Richard Coles, Gemma Atkinson, Ruth Langsford , Davood Ghadami and Mollie King in the Strictly 2017 line-up. More celebrity contestants will be announced in due course.
