This Morning – 30 Unforgettable Years will air on ITV next month.
Back at the start, This Morning with Judy and Richard.
“Generations have grown up with This Morning, and its influence cannot be underestimated – on viewers and on what we watch. It’s the perfect moment to highlight the impact of one of the country’s longest running shows” – Executive Producer, Sue Walton
Narrated by Joanna Lumley OBE, the celebratory programme will feature current and former presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby; Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan; Eamonn Holmes OBE and Ruth Langsford; and Fern Britton as well as contributions from celebrity fans and regulars on the This Morning sofa including Hugh Jackman, Robbie Williams, Simon Cowell, Kate Winslet, David Gandy, Amanda Holden and Bradley Walsh.
The 90-minute special promises, producers say, to explore the legacy of one of the country’s longest running and most famous shows as it turns 30.
Judy and Richard hosted the live daily series for its first thirteen years.

The broadcaster describes the progamme as a ‘laugh a minute piece’ that will showcase the best, the worst and the damn right ridiculous, from the first ever live testicle examination to cheeky Gino D’Acampo keeping his promise to cook naked, if the show won an NTA.
Demonstrating how the Granada Television production has played an influential role in changing the TV landscape, from giving stars such as Charlotte Church, David Gandy and Simon Cowell their showbiz breaks, to its trail blazing firsts, such as trialling Viagra live on national TV, to hosting TV’s first gay wedding, this documentary will dig deep into three decades of This Morning history, unearthing surprising moments and never heard before secrets along the way.
Fern Britton and John Leslie took over as lead hosts following the departure of Richard and Judy.
While Fern was on maternity leave several partnerships hosted the show, including Twiggy and Coleen Nolan.
The pioneering spirit of This Morning will be examined as the spotlight is thrown on notable moments from the very first transmission in Liverpool’s Albert Dock on 3rd October 1988 through to the present day. Giggles and gaffes are naturally expected as the archive is plunged into too.
This Morning – 30 Unforgettable Years tells the story of a show which has become a national institution. Other presenters of the show include John Leslie who was replaced by Philip Schofield, Lorraine Kelly, Bryan McFadden, the late Caron Keating, Gloria Hunniford and Ross Kelly.
“It’s so easy to get lost in clip after clip of the laughs and bloopers that frequently happen on This Morning. I can’t wait to indulge in a full 90 mins of backstage gossip and memorable archive.” – ITV’s Commissioning Editor, Nicola Lloyd
