The Cbeebies show is making a first.
“My family loves to read together so naturally we’re fans of CBeebies Bedtime Stories.” – Rob Delaney
Comedian, actor and writer Rob Delaney is to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story, which he will also sign in Makaton – a first for the much loved children’s show.
Rob reads and signs Ten In The Bed by Penny Dale, all about ten cuddly friends trying to go to bed. Young viewers will love to join in with the bouncy, counting bedtime rhyme when the story airs on Children in Need day, Friday 16 November on CBeebies.
CBeebies Bedtime Stories is on daily at 6.50pm. Rob Delaney is widely known as the co-star and co-writer of the TV show Catastrophe, as well as a minor role in the 2018 blockbuster action-comedy Deadpool 2. The American performer, born in 1977, relocated to the UK four years ago.
“I am beyond honoured to be the first person to read and sign a book using the Makaton language. Our family learned Makaton to be able to communicate with our son Henry, who couldn’t speak due to a tracheotomy. We’re sad Henry isn’t here to see it but we’re happy other families will get to enjoy a story told in Makaton.” – Rob Delaney
