CBeebies will return to BBC Proms for 2019 programme.

BBC Proms will welcome CBeebies to the opening weekend of the classical music festival in 2019. Coming ahead of the Beeb Proms Launch on Wednesday April 17th.
Passionate about bringing new audiences to classical music and identifying and nurturing emerging talent, the BBC Proms continues to make youth music-making and youth audiences a major focus of every season the corporation note. The Prom with CBeebies will be one of many projects next year which aims to encourage a diverse range of audiences to engage with the spirit of the world-famous festival.
A continuation of a long-standing relationship with BBC Children’s, this project builds on CBeebies Proms in 2014 and 2016, and the work of BBC Ten Pieces which also had dedicated Proms for the past four years. To maximise audiences there will once again be two Proms with CBeebies in 2019 on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd July, this the Beeb hope will give a greater number of families access to the BBC Proms.
Both performances will feature a number of CBeebies stars. Full details about the CBeebies Prom will be available at the launch of the BBC Proms in April 2019.

Across Christmas, the BBC will give Proms audiences further out of season collection of moments to engage with the festival. The Proms repeats will all be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 including the world-famous Last Night Of The Proms which will be repeated on New Year’s Eve at 9pm.
