Saturday night music quiz The Hit List will be returning to BBC One following its debut on the channel earlier this year.

The BBC have confirmed music knowlege show The Hit List is to return to BBC One. Described by the Beeb as a ‘highly addictive music quiz, where contestants must name as many hit songs and artists as possible under intense pressure’ the series will be back on-screen for a second run of episodes once more hosted by Rochelle and Marvin Humes.
The programme sees three couples competing each week for a chance to win £10,000 and all they have to do is name the song and the artist. Speaking of the programme Executive Producer Karen Smith of production company Tuesday’s Child Scotland said ‘The ratings for The Hit List were great, the recommission even better, but the best bit was hearing how families were coming together to watch and play along with the show. Genuinely shared viewing. I love it when a plan comes together.’
Filming for The Hit List takes places in at the BBC Scotland studios in Glasgow, with production starting later this month and running through into September 2019.

In other BBC Music news Radio 1’s Live Lounge month will return for September 2019, with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Sam Fender being the first acts to be named on the bill. Throughout September on Clara Amfo’s show, Monday – Thursday, 10am-1pm, a different artist will take to the Live Lounge each day to perform a mix of their own songs and surprise covers.
