CBeebies has revealed the celebrities who will entertain and delight the nation’s children with Bedtime Stories this Christmas.
Joanna Page makes her CBeebies debut as the reader on Christmas Day, ahead of the much-anticipated Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special. She reads Snow by Sam Usher, a wintery story about a little boy who wants to play in the snow but has to wait for his grandfather.
During the countdown to Christmas, Robbie Williams makes his second appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Stories. On Friday 20th December, he reads The Twelve Dogs Of Christmas by author Alison Ritchie and illustrator Marisa Morea.
On Sunday December 22nd, Vicky McClure reads Augustus And His Smile by Catherine Rayner about a tiger on the hunt for his lost smile.
Monday 23rd December sees the return of jazz and soul star Gregory Porter. As part of BBC Teach’s Bring The Noise campaign, he sings festive favourite Walking In A Winter Wonderland, with illustrations by Tim Hopgood.
Over the festive period, there are also opportunities to watch favourite readers from previously seen episodes. On Christmas Eve, Justin Fletcher reads The Night Before Christmas. On Boxing Day, Idina Menzel reads Robin’s Winter Song. On New Year’s Eve, Tom Hardy reads You Must Bring A Hat.
