The Trip is returning to Sky One on 3 March at 10pm with a fourth instalment of the multi award-winning comedy series, starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon.
“What a joy to go island hopping with the incomparable Steve and Rob. Greece is the birthplace of democracy but more importantly the birthplace of Michael Winterbottom’s latest vision, which we can’t wait to share with our customers. Yamas!” – Sky Studios’ Director of Comedy, Jon Mountague
The fourth series will see their fictionalised characters embark on a road trip around Greece for a fresh helping of gastronomic adventures. The six part series is seasoned with laughter, impressions and scintillating conversation.
The travelling companions lock horns over tragedy, comedy, myth and history while dining on cuisine traditional to beautiful Greek hot spots including Assos, Kavala, Stagira, Athens, Epidaurus, Hydra and Plyos.
Rob and Steve – as versions of themselves – have previously sampled the culinary delights of northern England, Italy and Spain. The Trip to Spain saw the duo venture from Getaria to Malaga in 2017, securing Rob Brydon a BAFTA nomination for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme. The series first aired on BBC Two between 2010-2014, switching to Sky thereafter.
The Trip to Greece, a Sky original series, is from Revolution Films and directed by Michael Winterbottom.
