Her Majesty The Queen will address the nation this evening in relation to the coronavirus crisis.
The address to the UK and the Commonwealth will be broadcast at 8.00pm BST on television, radio and on the Royal Family’s social media channels.
BBC One and ITV will show the pre-recorded message along with Sky News, BBC News and Channel 4, and a big cumulative audience is expected after 28 million viewers saw Prime Minister Boris Johnson announce a lockdown on 23rd March.
The address comes as the death toll in the UK continues to rise, now standing at 4,313.
The Royal Family has dealt with coronavirus first hand with the Prince of Wales self-isolating in Scotland amid a positive diagnosis last month.
Having recovered from his illness, the heir to the throne appeared via webcam on Friday to declare open the NHS Nightingale Hospital in London.
