The first episode of new US thriller Helix is to air on Monday 20th January.
Helix, which stars Billy Campbell, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jordan Hayes and Neil Napier, is about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to the high-tech research facility Arctic BioSystems to investigate a possible disease outbreak.
The team of scientists find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. However, the lethal threat is just the tip of the iceberg, and as the virus evolves, the chilling truth begins to unravel.
Created by Ron Moore, the man behind Battlestar Gallactica, the 13-part series will launch tonight in America on SyFy which means that viewers in the UK won’t have to wait months before it screens here. Channel 5 have confirmed they will begin screening Helix on Monday 20th January at 10.00pm.
