Matt Edmondson will return as host for the second series of ITV2’s Fake Reaction.
The comedy entertainment programme features team captains Joe Swash and Ellie Taylor as they put on their best poker faces when faced with a variety of different trials. The first series launched earlier this year peaking at half a million viewers.
STV Productions will produce the second series which will have ten episodes, up two from the first run. The show is partly based on a Fuji TV game show format and STV Productions are working with LA -based production company Kinetic Content on the second series.
Head of Entertainment for STV Productions Gary Chippington says: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with the team at ITV2 on a new series of Fake Reaction. We’re looking forward to coming up with more riotous and ridiculous challenges for our celebrity guests and our regulars.”
ITV Director of Channels and Acquisitions Angela Jain added: “We’re delighted that Fake Reaction is returning for a second series. With Matt’s wit, Joe’s unbelievable up for anything attitude and Ellie’s charm, it’s a great, fun watch”.
Filming will begin in the Autumn with transmission due on ITV2 next year.
