Leah Totton has been crowned the winner of The Apprentice.
The 2013 run of The Apprentice came to an end Wednesday evening with Lord Sugar injecting £250,000 of his own cash into Leah’s high street cosmetic business.
She beat fiery Luisa Zissman who proposed a wholesale bakery business.
Leah’s new company will be called Dr Leah and will offer cosmetic procedures. Lord Sugar had previously said that going into partnership with Leah in this area of business would be a ‘risk’.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Leah defended the ethics of the cosmetic business and how she hopes that she will help to bring in regulation needed in the industry.
I’m advocating that it does need that regulation. I want to bring about that change. I do not encourage, especially women my age, to embark on these procedures. I want to ensure that they’re given in a safe and secure environment. – Leah Totton
Some Apprentice fans were unaware at the time change for the final and took to social media to vent their anger. The Apprentice has always aired at 9.00pm and fans were caught out at the decision to begin the two hour final at 8.00pm.
Overnight ratings data shows that 5.7 million viewers tuned in across the two hours, making it one of the lowest watched Apprentice finals.
