Andrew Marr will return to his Sunday morning political show in September.
Marr, 53, has been away from the show for nine months after suffering a stroke. The Andrew Marr Show has had a number of guest presenters including Jeremy Vine and Sophie Raworth. Vine, who presented the programme this morning confirmed the news of Marr’s return.
“We’re back on the first Sunday in September which this year is September the first. And I’m delighted to say that Andrew will be back in the hot seat presenting the show himself.” – Jeremy Vine
Marr has appeared on his own programme while recovering to explain how was coping. He said he was “lucky to be alive.”
Andrew Marr took over the 9.00am Sunday slot in 2005 on BBC One following the departure of Breakfast with Frost which was hosted by Sir David Frost.
