Part two of season five of Breaking Bad gets underway tonight as the Emmy award-winning drama prepares to come to an end.
AMC will screen episode nine, ‘Blood Money’, tonight at 9.00pm. The decision was taken last year to split the fifth and final season into two.
The mid-season premiere will be followed an hour later by Talking Bad, hosted by Chris Hardwick, which goes behind the scenes of the Breaking Bad and discuss ‘every detail’ of the final episodes.
Breaking Bad began in January 2008 and instantly garnered a legion of fans across the globe. The mid-season finale last year, ‘Gliding Over All’, ended on a cliffhanger with Hank discovering his brother-in-law Walter is Heisenberg.
Bryan Cranston, who plays lead character Walter White, said in an interview on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that it was the best role he’d ever had. “It’s the greatest role I’ve ever had in acting, it spawned so many opportunities for me.”
AMC will be hoping that viewers stay with the channel tonight to watch the first episode of new drama Low Winter Sun. The show is described as “contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption” between cops and the criminal world. The show is based on the 2-part British version which aired in 2006.
The mid-season opener of Breaking Bad airs tonight at 9.00pm ET on AMC.
